In 2014, I was knee-deep in the murky, uncomfortable waters of divorce. I had been married for 10 years, had 2 children and was unraveling. I wrote a blog post about 1 year into the process of what would end up being a very long 3 years.
Most of the words from that post are ingrained on my soul. I can rehearse them, as if for a play. Those words allowed me to begin healing… and by publishing them, they gave way for others to find comfort in the words of my story and begin to heal from their own difficulties.
Within the words of that post sat this quote that I designed for people to share and embrace:
I didn’t tag it with my name or website URL. I let it freely roam the interwebs for anyone to claim…
and boy, was it claimed!
That post alone has been read more than 1 million times since it was first published in August 2014… so, it doesn’t surprise me to find that the image of my quote, the one I threw together quickly one day on Adobe Illustrator without any recognition for myself has become the most re-pinned quote on the internet (according to Repinned.com).
How about that for claim to fame?
No, it’s not much – but it has provided an incredible amount of healing for both myself and the thousands and thousands of people that still stop by to read my story to this day.
With as much traffic as that first post had, in June 2015 I wrote these words in a second post:
hope is not lost. i have faith that God will continue to provide us with all our needs… and if God is grooming that man right now to be what i need and the children need, we will embrace him and love him all our days… or maybe he’s preparing us to be a family of 3 that spend our days honoring Jesus with thanksgivings and the community steps up and fills in those gaps alongside my daddy.
INSPIRATION FOR THESE FREE WALLPAPERS
For a few more years I was alone, tired and overwhelmed but finding confidence, focus and steadfast devotion to God’s will. In April 2019, I married the man that God was preparing for my children and I. God did just as He promised… but it took a whole lot of work on myself before I was ready for what God had in mind.
So, if you’re reading this today and you feel like things are falling apart — let me encourage you, that they may just be falling into place.
Add this to your Pinterest boards so that others may find comfort in this quote as well.

HOW TO USE THE DOWNLOADS
This post contains Quote of the Month wallpapers for your desktop, phones and tablets. When you click the links, it will open in a new window. For your laptop or computer, just right click and save. Every device differs in ways to set an image in your “photos” as wallpaper.
- For my iMac, I right click the thumbnail and click on “set desktop picture” .
- For iPads, follow the similar pattern as iPhones.
- For your iPhone, save the watercolor floral wallpapers to your “camera roll”. Go to “settings” > “wallpaper” > “choose a new wallpaper” . I’m unsure about how to go about it on android phone. You may want to do a quick search on that.
